Kai Webler has been cranking out some great vids of the North East US recently, this one contains some great looking problems from Happy Valley. Check through the video section for some of his other fine work.
Eliot Stephens has been producing some of my favorite videos of late and this is no exception. Six great problems from his recent stint in font, filmed and edited in nice style.
Makes me want to get back to the forest, it has been too long...
Shot a decade ago over six months on gritstone The Archives was initally lost on a hard drive. After getting back into climbing after a 5 year break in 2016 I found some rough cut segments as private videos on my old Vimeo account. I've downloaded them and thrown them together to create a short film. This was shot so long ago it is in 4:3. Filmed on the best cameras we could borrow from Sheffield Uni at the time, the video quality is nothing like what you can shoot on DSLR or even your iphone now - but the climbing and problems stand the test of time. The music takes me back to those Uni days too. I hope you enjoy it and it gets you psyched to get outside and get some projects done.
This is a really nice edit of Alex Puccio taking down some of the best lines in Bishop; Stained Glass V10, Direction V13, The Swarm V13, Buttermilker V12.
I've met a lot of people at the walls in NYC who don't know much about climbing history, I've often talked of Moffatt, Moon et al and they've given me a blank stare. I think many people just lack the education, well this is the first thing I am pointing them too - the classic bouldering movie The Real Thing. Unfortunately only two parts have made it, but damn they are still a classic watch.
